The virtues of the fig.

Ibn Al Qayyim said: " Since figs did not exist in the Hijaz and Medina because their soil is not suitable, they were not mentioned in the Sunnah. But Allah has sworn by the fig tree in His Book because of its many advantages and benefits. The best are the white ones with ripe skin, they dissipate kidney and bladder stones and protect against poisons. They are useful against sore throat, chest and esophagus. They cleanse the liver and spleen and purify the pituitary humor in the stomach. They nourish the body well, however they give lice if one eats a lot of them. Dried figs are nourishing and good for the nerves, they are praiseworthy along with walnuts and almonds.
Galen said : "If one eats it with nuts and rue (a shrub whose leaves have aromatic and medicinal properties) before taking a deadly poison, it will be useful and will protect one from all harm."
Everything is to be used in this blessed fruit. It is full of benefits, nutrients (carbohydrates, lipids, proteins), vitamins (C, A, B, P, K) and minerals (calcium, copper, magnesium, potassium, iron... It contains very powerful flavanoids to the point of being antioxidants. Note that all the fruits mentioned in the Quran are antioxidants.
Its latex (white juice) secretes an enzyme that is very effective against warts and corns.
In decoction, fig leaves help regulate diabetes.
Prickly pear oil is healing and relieves hemorrhoids.
Fig bud is widely used in herbal medicine because it calms stress and anxiety. It is effective for any illness where stress is an aggravating factor: obsessive-compulsive disorder, bulimia, migraines, autoimmune diseases, Lyme disease, etc.
It also calms the digestive system because the fig is healing and emollient, it softens by its content in mucilages which act like a bandage on the mucous membranes. It therefore has an effect on heartburn, gastric reflux, ulcerations and burns, gastritis, esophagitis, inflammations and spasms of the intestine.
It lowers cholesterol thanks to its fibers which bind to bile acids and prevent their reabsorption.
It is also the fruit of the woman. Its buds are used to regulate the hormonal system. They help fight against menstrual disorders (absence of ovulation, fibroids, amenhorea...
Among all these numerous virtues, the fig protects the liver because it helps to reduce the level of hepatic enzymes which increases in the event of an anomaly (cirrhosis, PALS, hepatic steatosis, etc.)
PROPHETIC MEDICINE : to soothe dry and irritating coughs and sore throats:
-Macerate figs in olive oil. Consume them with their oil. This recipe is also effective in fighting anemia because olive oil promotes the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K). Knowing that vitamin A plays an indirect role in the production and good use of iron (facilitates the release of iron stored in the liver).
- Boil about ten fresh figs covered with water. Mix the filtered water from the figs with slightly heated honey. Take 5 to 15 ml per day, adding propolis (anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial).
